Animation - Lessons from Adobe

  1.  Create your Animate document (HD - ActionScript 3.0). Then, press OK. Save your project as a .FLA file Click here to understand more about document types.

  2. Draw your first illustration directly in Adobe Animate (using Smart Sketch technique). Before drawing, turn off the Object Drawing mode. If the Paint Bucket isn't working as intended, select your drawing & choose Modify > Break Apart.
  3. Convert the drawing into a 'graphic symbol'.

  4. You may manipulate the colors your graphic symbols (fill and stroke) by referring to this guide.
  5. Download this asset to be used as background.
  6. Animate your graphic symbol by using the Classic Motion Tween method. Remember to preview your animation (generate the .SWF file) by pressing Ctrl/Cmd + Enter/Return on your keyboard or go to the menu and select Control>Test. Here, you will also create path animation by activating the motion guide
  7. Now, loop your animation by using MovieClip symbols. You will also be adding frame by frame animation in this step.

  8. Save all your work. Upload your .FLA & .SWF files here.
